Itinerary

3 DAYS/2 NIGHTS
Pavia, Monza&Brianza, Milano&surroundings

Day 1.
Pavia: wine, rice, fish and goose

Based in the surroundings of Milano, start your tour with a transfer to Pavia district: a land combining one of the largest wine production area in Europe- Oltrepo - rice fields dating back to XV century and River Po. Meeting with your local guide and visit to a wine producer vineyards and its cellar (Pinot Noire, Riesling, Barbera, Bonarda); overview of the hills with a stop in Zavattarello (enlisted in the Club of Borghi d'Italia) and transfer to River Po for a meal with rice, freshwater fish and goose. On the way back to your hotel, stop in Pavia, one of the oldest University town in Europe.

Day 2.
Monza&Brianza, wine, salami, cheese and..beer

Transfer to Montevecchia and Parco del Curone (natural reserve), also named as the "little Tuscany" of Brianza, a green area to the north of Milano. Montevecchia is a hill enlighted by sun with with wine terraces and famous for Robiolini&Caprini cheese. Visit and walking in a vineyard, with tasting experience of local wines, salami, and cheese. Transfer to Monza, the ancient city of the Longobard queen Teodolinda (visit to its treausury), home to the largest European walled park, a green oasis with a Royal Villa, the Grand Prix motor racing track. This area is also famous for the flourishing of excellent microbreweries. So finish your day in the pub of one of the best brewer in Italy in the city center of Monza.

Day 3.
Milano and surroundings

This itinerary is aimed at discovering the green soul of the Milano metropolitan area among farms inside and outside the city, agricultural traditions developed by benedectine monks and conversion to organic food. Meeting with your guide and visit to a local market taking place in a farm recently restored, inside Milano. Step for a typical meal based on risotto, cheese and vegetables in a local agriturismo. In the afternoon tour of the Abbeys, to the south of Milano: Chiaravalle, Mirasole, Viboldone, Morimondo among fields, farms, bikes and rivers. The itinerary can also be arranged by bike.
